There are plenty of "nice places to stay." But there aren't so many which let your senses and your imagination truly come alive. Henderson Castle Bed & Breakfast, Meetings & Banquets offers a variety of tastefully-themed rooms fitted with fine antique furnishings, each reflecting a distinct global culture. While sharing common creature comforts - attached bathrooms, heated wooden or marble floors - each room possesses its own rich, evocative atmosphere.

The Dutch Room is outfitted with genuine furnishings and accents imported from the Netherlands, including beautiful carved wood mouldings, a floor-to-ceiling framed mirror, and an ornate hardwood king size bed. A hand crafted patterned wooden floor even had fiber optic lights set deep within the perimeters of the floor; these may be left off or turned on to sparkle as bright as diamonds or as quietly as glowing fireflies in the night. ($225/night)

Morning light fills the Dutch Room, making the tiger maple bedroom set, bird's eye maple fireplace and trim work glow gold...you won't find anything more relaxing!

Light streams into the eastward-facing Italian Room each morning, casting rainbows on the walls and illuminating a distinctive curved seating area through leaded-glass windows--just as the Hendersons saw themselves over a century ago! The room features a king size bed, heated green marble floor, and a shower with 13 heads. ($275/night)

Morning light refracted through century-old glass windows paints the walls with rainbows - literally. Deep green marble floors gleam in the light that dances across the room.

A hand-carved white marble fireplace adds distinctive European flair to the French Room. The room offers a full size bed and a heated white marble floor - a pleasure to walk on, especially on a chilly winter morning. A beautiful view of the Pavilion Garden offers a peaceful scene to reflect upon. ($200/night)

A hand-carved white marble fireplace highlights the artistry of the Castle. A Dresden and crystal chandelier add European flair to the romance of this cozy room.

The exotic Tibetan Room features a hand-painted tin ceiling accented with inset optic lights which change color as you watch, suggestive of the clouds drifting in front of the moon as the lights deepen in color, and then, it's as though the moon is at its full lustre again as the lights gradually brighten. Hand-painted tiles create a mural on the bathroom wall, and a wooden floor and a full-sized bed exude casual warmth. This room's warm atmosphere is well suited to the full size bed and its glistening coverlet. ($200/night)

Rest in this room, and as you gaze at the spectacular ceiling in all its intricate design, it's easy to believe you're in a palace...yet you didn't have to travel overseas for this delight: you found it right here in this luxurious Kalamazoo bed and breakfast!

The first-floor barrier-free Earth-Sky Room features a green heated marble tile floor and with its rich brown veins of color running through the green tiles, one can see a tree in the stone. Local artist Conrad Kaufman hand-painted the ceiling in the theme of a zodiac calendar--complete with constellations and the Milky Way. Lush tropical plants add special warmth. This room's bedroom furnishings can be converted to king size or to two twin beds. The bathroom is also barrier free. ($225/night)

This spacious room allows for barrier free access in elegant surroundings.
