Benefit for Orphans |
|
As an agent for positive social change, Henderson Castle will hold its second silent auction for the benefit of orphans of AIDS victims in Uganda.
- Live drumming and dance by Carolyn Koebel, Gerren Young, and members of Dunuya will set the tone.
- Auction items are the work of orphans themselves, Pat Brady of Chicago, and other local artists donating their work to the cause.
- 100% of the proceeds will go to the children.
- Visitors are invited to bring a gently used or new book to donate to the new school and library currently under construction in a Ugandan village.
- Guest speakers will present a slide show and share their own stories at 6:00 and again at 7:00 in the Hayward-McNelis Gallery on the third floor of the Henderson Castle, open from 5-8pm that evening.
